House Church AKA 7th Baptist Quad Church

Sunday we had church service in our “quad” in the common area of our apartment building. We have been studying Acts starting from the beginning and we will go through all the chapters, one each day. Sunday we were on the story in Acts 6 where Steven the newly appointed deacon, was out preaching the Word.
I made note that Steven wasn’t the missionary in this story, but an active deacon in the local church. As I made this observation I also realized Teresa and I were in a room full of missionaries. The range in age was from 6 to mid fifties. We are going to many different counties and we all have one purpose, one God, one Redeemer, one message. I would love for you to meet these brave souls however, some of the countries they are going to are not happy that a missionary would be coming. In those instances they are getting into the country by teaching English or running a business. Therefore, I cannot tell you their names, but I can show you their picture.

Rom 10:15 How can people tell the Good News if no one sends them? As Scripture says, "How beautiful are the feet of the messengers who announce the Good News."
Isa 52:7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who announces the good news, "All is well." He brings the good news, announces salvation, and tells Zion that its God rules as king.
We all may have different job descriptions yet all have the same message, announce the Good News of salvation!!!

Dear Randy and Teresa,
So good to read a quick note about how your days are going. We're praying for you and your health. I hope all of your friends at training are now well. God bless you as you continue to prepare for the work ahead. Wish we were there with you. Love you both!

Love the foot photo...those pink, lime green blue and white socks aren't what I would pick out for you to wear Randy! I would think a nice solid color would fit more into your wardrobe. I look forward to seeing those feet (and socks)in action later on this summer on your turf. I continually keep you in my daily prayers while you are in training.

Keep throwing the seeds!

The picture of the feet reminds me of an awesome book series several ladies in our prayer group are reading. It's the Yada Yada Prayer Group by Netta Jackson. There are 7 books in the series and it's about 12 women who had never met until a weekend retreat. They went back home and formed a prayer group. Women of all denominations, races and ages. It's the story of how prayer and God's love can change things. Ladies it's a must read.

I pray that everything is going well. I'm so excited for you both. Will you be back home before you leave?

Nancy, nice to hear from you. Randy and I are leaving for the field from Rockville. We appreciate your prayers. Continue to lift us up in prayer as we follow our Lord and Savior to the place where he has called us, and pray for our people group as well.

Just a sinner saved by grace, Teresa
